According to quantum science everything in this universe is made up of vibrating energy molecules. We may appear solid but in fact we are vibrating so fast that the eye cannot discern and therefore sees our reality as a solid mass. It intrigues me therefore that "things" can be said to have energy such as places, or colours or atmospheres. The same theory can be applied to numerology. Numbers are said to have certain energetic values and positive and negative connotations. We live in a society based on numbers - 7 days of the week, 24 hours in a day, 365 days a year etc. These numbers are also connected to cycles of time, and again this can be applied to numerology.
So how do you find out your own unique numerology calculations?
Name Expression
The letters in your name and date of birth carry a unique energy vibration that can give you great insight into your positive and negative personality traits, and can also reveal any karmic lessons you are here to overcome in this particular lifetime. Each letter of the alphabet carries a unique numerical value which you can use to work out your single digit number relating to your name. This is known as your name expression number and is an overview of your personality and talents. Your name literally contains a powerhouse of vital information about your life, your potential and your future.

Life Path or Destiny
To work out your life path number you need to add up all the numbers that make up your date of birth until you arrive at a single digit. Therefore if your date of birth is 1st January 1960 you would add together the following numbers - 1+1+1+9+6+0 = 18 then add 1 + 8 = 9 So 9 would be your life path number. Also know as your destiny number as it gives you insight into what your challenges, opportunities and lessons are in this lifetime.
There are 9 basic numbers that run through all the numerology calculations, as each number is reduced until it becomes a single digit. There are exceptions to this rule when the number is 11 or 22 as these are considered Master Numbers and carry more significance than single digit numbers.
Although numerology has been practiced for centuries, in modern times it really does have huge practical applications particularly if you are interested in psychological self-investigation.
It can also be used to predict high and lows in your life as well as determine what makes you (and others) tick.
Perhaps its greatest value is in its capacity to help you assess your personal strengths and weaknesses as well as provide you with an intuitive snapshot of another person's traits. Numerology can be used to find out whether you are compatible with another, whether this is a romantic partner, or a business partner. You can also use it to assess a new baby name.
Most of all, with numerology I believe that you can help yourself enormously by understanding how to integrate both your positive and negative aspects in order to fulfil your potential.
